We are currently seeking an Executive Director
Northeastern California land trust located in Susanville seeks full time Executive Director who can lead the trust as it increases its capacity to protect wildlife habitat and agricultural landscapes, and develop trails in Lassen County. Located where sage steppe of the Great Basin meets the forests of the Cascade and Sierra Nevada Mountain ranges, Lassen County is beautiful and sparsely populated. The Executive Director will work with land owners and other agencies and organizations to implement and coordinate habitat protection, agricultural conservation easements, and trail projects; oversee current property holdings; increase awareness of benefits of habitat protection throughout county; develop good working relationships with conservation organizations, funders, government agencies, and land owners; increase funding, including writing grants and donor materials; manage daily operations and finances; work with volunteer Board; and oversee staff. Three to four years experience working with a conservation organization preferred. Excellent entrepreneurial, communication, organizational, and relationship building skills required.
